Megadeth's Chris Broderick LACS

I went to Megadeth yesterday in Paradiso Amsterdam. Great show! First time I saw new Megadeth guitarplayer Chris Broderick. I was surprised to see he's an Ibanez player. And what a great guitar he plays! It's a 7 string purple quilted custom with a reverse headstock. Nice! Loved his playing also.

Some pics of the guitar:

That thing is sweeet.

Chris is indeed a very good player.

Megadeth are playing in Glasgow next week and I can't go...

EDIT: Just noticed, does that have an edge without a locking nut?

Yeah it's a graphite nut. On sevenstring.org Chris says it stays in tune very well.

Cool, that's the Planet Waves AutoTrim type locking tuners with integrated wire cutter. I also love the carved top.

Post pics Dee so we can share in the green glow.

I would take that guitar in green, trans black, purple or red...oh, and if it was a 6 stringer

Locking tuners like Planet Waves, eh? I'd still want a lock-nut.

Locking tuners, for me, only on Wilkinson-type trems!

Here it is. Not the greatest pic, but Chris said it was taken with his mobile phone cam. Still, you get the idea.

It's an Edge Pro in black, Bones.

The body is a Quilt Maple top with Mohagany back, The nut is graphite and it stays in tune very well, but you have to file them the right way for it to work correctly. The pickups will be Bareknuckles but I didn't have a chance to get them from Tim before the guitar was ready, so I had Ibanez throw in a Dimarzio Evo and Air Norton in the mean time. I will post real pics when I get the rest of my gear ready for photos as well (these were taken with my phone camera).

Take care, Chris.
