Middle Pickup for my Ibanez Prestige RG2550

I just got a new RG2550 Prestige and I'm putting a DiMarzio Tone Zone in the bridge and a Fernandes Sustainer in the neck. I want a DiMarzio single coil for the middle position, but I'm not really sure what to get yet. So, my question is this. What DiMarzio single coil would you get and why?

First you have to answer to yourself what kind of sound are you looking form your middle pickup?

Get the FS1, whenever I emailed dimarzio they recommend me FS1 with reverse polarity.

Leave the stock one in there and see how you like it first.

The Blue Velvet sounds great with the TZ for clean sounds in my JC's.

Re: Middle Pickup for my Ibanez Prestige RG2550

I would get something with very low string pull. I lowered the mid pup in my fp because the other two pups sounded better with it lower. In my 570 I took out the single altogether then rewired for 3way and two hbs. the sound is a lot better. Without the mid pup the strings can vibrate more, to me this sounds better. of course it could be my imagination.

Go for a HS-2. It's a stack pickup.
It sounds great in my RG-470!

Re: Middle Pickup for my Ibanez Prestige RG2550

well had the same problem as You and also in 2550
I was afraid of sustainer sounding thin as neck pickup so after some research I picked Dimarzio Fast Track, but I didn't check this, because I bought new guitar instead)

You should precise what You don't like about stock single coil and what do You want from the new one.
Do You want sth with no hum, or just different eq or want hi-output mini hum?
