Re: Music Of The Sphere
Trem is floating a bit high at the moment, but I will adjust accordingly
This is one of 12 available, as shown in the 1988
USA Custom shop
brochure.
Not sure if any were destined to the UK, or if the first owner brought this one back themselves. Maybe Rich can inform us of the availablity.
I am the second owner. Previous owner (female) has the original reciept.
Plays real nice, sounds real nice. Saw it, so so rare and HAD to have it. Something different, even if it is just a
custom shop
much alike an RG, it's the artwork that I fell in love with

Re: Music Of The Sphere
Looks awesome and in a surprisingly good condition, considering it's from '89. Congrats on the acquisition.

Re: Music Of The Sphere
so wonderful, and truly well preserved, for an '89 model...
There are probably a lot more "music of the sphere" around, but for the 1989 production run, it could well be limited to only 12 of them

Re: Music Of The Sphere
Thanks guys
But when I say one in 12, I mean one in 12 different artworks. As far as I'm aware, they were only made for all but a few years. So not sure how many are around, but certainly is a rare series these days. A few years later, there were different artworks, then after that, I don't think Ibanez did it anymore.

I've seen a couple of others over here, one with a single
bridge humbucker
, so I think they were officially imported

Oh, ok, I didn't understand...
Well, the "official" type of artworks, along the years, were probably no more than two dozens
but there are also some one of a kind artworks, also made by Pamelina or Dan Lawrence, which didn't make into the official catalogue, and nonetheless those Ibanez were in the market as well... if you search for the pics of the collection of Taorama, you can see, among the official ones, one of them, a green-eyed female face on single
humbucker guitar
...

Re: Music Of The Sphere
I'm suprised how much I get on with the sound of the IBZ USA F2 pickup. I'm going to leave the original pickups in as this guitar is all original and a rare one too.

Re: Music Of The Sphere
Good choice, Ant1981, I would do the same. I have never been a fan of swapping pickups, epecially the guitars I own (7620s, UVs and an S 7420), the pickups sound great.
