Thumbs up

My First Ever Prestige Guitar

So I have been putting this off for awhile but I've finally gotten to it...

My first Prestige guitar ever... RG3120 in Twilight Blue. Completely stock. Found a killer deal on the Bay going for $600 shipped. It's acquired some dust in the past month and a half, but that will change once I change strings [although I hope it doesn't because it's a reaaaal pain in the butt to do that...]. Genuine DiMarzio's and I love it. Super clear and warm on a clean, and extremely crisp when distorted. And since it's paired up with the mahagony body, the sustain holds out for forever...

"Listen to it. J-j-just listen to it. The sustain."
"I'm not hearing it."
"You would though if it were playing because it really... it's famous for its sustain. You just hold it... AHHHHHHHHH and you can go and have a bite... AHHHHHH and you'll still be hearing that one."

Ahh sorry. Had to pull the Spinal Tap thing when I mentioned sustain haha

Anyways, here are the pictures. I'm not sure what parts of the guitar to take pictures of, plus I have horrible camera skills, let alone, I don't even have a camera. I used my camcorder for this...

Oh. And did I mention the Legacy stack I picked up for $500? Mint condition

God the stack is LOUD! Even at notch 2, it shakes the whole house. Too bad my roommates won't let me stick it in the dorms... lol

Re: My First Ever Prestige Guitar

You should consider a Marshall Power Brake or equivilent to tame that Legacy. I had a Legac. It was practiacally worthless for me. I should have bought a power brake or something. I don't get anything out of playing that loud, and sound guys hate it. And since our band is all in-ears, you need very little stage volume. But the legacy gets better when you get it working harder.

3120's are super guitars, but never seem to garner much on the 'bay.
Ah well, better for us! I've got the one in Flame Red but every once in a while toy with the idea of getting the other avaiable colors.

Man, I've always wanted to get this one RG3120 TWB. Saw once at our local shop, and it felt wonderful and looked really gorgeous.I almost bought it but lucky for me I came back to my senses (always had GAS). Congrats and ROCK her like a hurricane.
