As far as I know its a japan import and still currently a production model, but I could(and probably am) be wrong.

Like the majority of J Customs, this guitar isn't a "limited production" model by any means. Chances are it's production numbers are only limited by the ammount of demand that they bring (which is probably relatively high, since it's a modestly priced model). Cool guitars, but my guess is you'll never get any production numbers on it (especially if it's still available)

I can remember these surfacing on the old forum, due to a posting on Ishibashi. Very nice guitars...

They were designed in the LA Custom Shop, but are (were?) made in Japan, as Brian said, and were a normal production model.

I don't think these are in production any longer, but as others have posted, I don't think it was a 'limited' model, I think they just sold what there was demand for.

Ibanez has also just announced the RG7CSD3 on the Japanese website, which looks to be the same, but with only one volume and one tone, and cosmo hardware instead of chrome.

well, i got the guitar. and it's amazing!

Thanks Walle for this guitar, you're the greatest hehe.

One thing that bothers me, is the clearcoat on the back of the neck. so sticky!

other than that, it's an amazing guitar!

0000 grade steel wool. (actually, start with something rougher, and work up to that). Problem solved.
