My new RG1550 - pictures inside thread!

Okay, so i'm starting a new music college next week so i thought i should buy a new 6-string that's good. I was looking around guitar shops when i saw this amaing RG1550 maple fingerboard (discontinued) 6-string. I thought "Hey, better snap this up!"

... So i did
Managed to get £100 off the original price because i was paying in cash and my Dad knows the guys that work at the shop

Anyway, here are a few pics i took just now. The flash doesn't do the guitar any justice (makes the neck and bits of it look bright white when it isn't. But i'll probably take better pictures later, so these will do for now )

Anyway, there we go for now
I'll probably put some DiMarzio's in or something but hey.

Those are the pictures i've taken so far. I'll try and get some better ones some other time.

Sweet. The fact that it was discontinued still boggles the mind.

Yeah, i can't understand why Ibanez discontinued it. It's got a luverly neck

I've always wanted to get an RG550 but never been too interested in getting them secondhand. When i saw this i thought "bingo!"

Obviously it is . Edge Pros came out the same year when Japanese series became the Prestige series.

Ah, i really wish the camera was better, because it really does look great. The front isn't oiled or whatever like Fender so it looks like it'll wear nicely

I have to say, it's one of the nicest fealing (and smelling) necks i've seen in a while

I got it from Lick Music in Worthing, although it was the last one they had and had been sitting on the wall for quite a while (the guy selling it to me even said when exchanging money "Aww, i'm quite unhappy to see it go now" )

Oh, and just before this, i picked up an RG470 off evilbay for £100 (which is a great deal i reckon).

The guitar is also quite nice. I wouldn't say it's amazing, but for the money i payed it's great. The trem takes so beating to go out of tune
