My next J-Custom on order!!

YES!!!!

Now that I have seen the new 2007 models, I'v decided to go with my first choice.... The J-Custom RG8320 with EMG!!!!

That will be my first EMG loaded guitar... Alder body with these high output pickups, I think this will sound like killer!!!!
And I really like the new (2006) J-Custom neck (2 mm larger), especially with small off center dot inlays!!!!

I will post pictures when I receive it!!

Nice, I like the look of this model too.
Its not too over the top, with fancy inlays and stuff. Its just a nice simple guitar.

And the EMG's will sound great in it too, my favourite pickups.

I have EMG's in my Washburn X50 Pro, which has a Mahogany Body, Neck-Thru construction. They sound huge, they really do.

I dont think you can really compare EMG's to passive pickups at all. They have a much more high-gain overdriven type sound.

There are people that dont like them though obviously. Some people prefer the more "organic" sound of passive pickups. I personally, like both.

But I would be perfectly happy if all of my guitars had EMG's. The music I play is mainly all metal, so they suit perfectly. For anything else though, they aren't the best. Clean sounds are a prime example. EMG's dont really do clean tones very well.

Re: My next J-Custom on order!!

very cool. i had the AX1220 with that finish. looks really cool but don't wear a belt and be careful of buttons on your pants as they rub the finish off. i wore the back of mine to the wood. looked cool and "relic'd" though.
congrats.

I have an EMG equipped guitar that sounds fantastic clean through a couple of DSL100's, its a really warm tone but still bright, all you have to do it roll the volume down a little. A much richer tone that the Evos on my Jems.

Re: My next J-Custom on order!!

not thickier, but larger at the 21th fret.... 58mm vs. 56mm for older necks...
It's great, because J-Custom have the super wizard VERY thin neck... so the 2mm larger make them great in my opinion....
