My Refinished RG W/pics

This started as a beat up silver RG1570 Presitege. I Repainted it using all reranch products, fender vintage white. I was going for a Joe Stump, Richie Blackmore, Malmsteen look on an RG. It's definantly different than any RG out there. I can see why some people wouldn't like it but I think it's unique.

Pickguard from Pickguardheaven, Dimarzio Breed/Paf Joe Combo. 3-way switch and Fender electronics. Turned out pretty good, let me know what you think.

I want to see more pictures of the painting process and more shots of the guitar. I'm very intrigued by the vintage white. Looks awesome by the way.

Re: My Refinished RG W/pics

The paint process can be found here http://www.reranch.com/basics.htm

The Vintage White is, "Yellowish" kind of banana puddingish. Supposed to look aged like old fenders, like Malmsteen's strat.

Didn't use white pickups because they didn't match the hardware and I didn't want to buy chrome trem, tuners etc...

Forget the white pickups - it looks fantastic. Very classy, but with attitude.

Agree. You were probably afraid of it looking much closer to your JEM, but since the pickguard looks so "new" and bright white, I'd absolutely recommend getting white pups, knobs and truss-rod cover. I'd look very very refined and classy.

Great job!

I did a computer model of the guitar with white pups and one with black. The white looked very out of place with the black chrome color trem and rosewood fretboard. I didn't know about black at first but it grew on me and now I love it.
