Mystery Guitar

Today while trying out some j-customs, i came across a limited edition RG prestige. Ive seen it a few times here. I think is H-S-H and has a black and white swirl. Its not that rare but I just forgot the name of it.

Re: Mystery Guitar

It was last year's ltd edition RG, the RG20051. I'm still wondering what happened to the 20052. It looked very promising as a 10th wannabe.

Re: Mystery Guitar

courtesy of ibanez rules...

RG20051 - The 20051 is a very limited edition multi color guitar swirled in Japan by the same artist that swirled the Japanese UV77MC's. Specs were unknown at the show as it wasn't a given to go into production, but my guestimate is it's a stock RG1570 underneath. The pickups will not be swirled on the production models.

Re: Mystery Guitar

I saw a couple of those in Osaka. I thought they were a little lame when I saw them on the web, but in person, they're really pretty cool looking.

Re: Mystery Guitar

I think they looked nicer with the matching swirl pups that the first few had over the plain black ones.

I actually think that white pickups would look the best on the RG20051.

Re: Mystery Guitar

Are you sure about the Edge Pro2? I just snagged on off the bay (have not received it yet) and it sure as heck looks like a Edge Pro.

Also in the months/year Ive been stalking one of these with the right look I have not seen one without the matching swirled PU's. If they are cheesily painted (which I suspect they are), Im gonna yank them and go black/white zebra I think.

Here is the one I snagged I like the black palette: 260006749868

Re: Mystery Guitar

They all have swirled pups and the edge pro trem. Any that don't are more than likely fakes.

I think people are getting confused with the HR Giger models that deserve no mention on this forum ?!?!?!?
