Need some help choosing a geetar!

Hi!
I'm just about to get a new guitar and after wanting one for ages I've decided to go for Ibanez. I think I need a little help as I know a fair bit about guitars, but from the looks of the posts on here people on this forum know alot more about Ibanez than I do!
Anyways I'm looking at either the pgm301 (as I'm a huge Paul Gilbert fan) the RGA121 (after reading some of the posts on here and because it looks beautiful) or the RG3120F (again a beautiful guitar), but any other suggestions will be much appreciated. I've got a budget of around £800 but it could be stretched.
Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to any comments
Jamie

out of all of those (i dont own any of them but played them all on different occasions) id go with the rg3120...it all depends on the persons taste though... what do you look for in your future ibanez?

If you need a trem then go for the RG3120. If you don't use/want a trem then it's really your choice which one you want. Personally, I would go for the RG3120.

I'd personally go for the RGA simply because it's my dream guitar. If I could only afford an RGA321 I would be in heaven.

Re: Need some help choosing a geetar!

Every Gilbert fan should own at least one PGM so if you don't own one already, get one before they're discontinued (which seems to happen inevitably).

I'm only going to own one guitar for a while and one of the reasons I chose the PGM was because it doesn't have a floating trem. I just don't want to deal with the maintenance and if I want to play around with alternate tunings, I do not want to deal with a floating trem.

Both the 3120 and the Pgm 301 are great guitars... If you want the trem then go for the 3120

Re: Need some help choosing a geetar!

Thanks alot for the replies, much appreciated and they've certainly given me alot to think about.
There seems to be alot of support for the 3120 so it might have to be one of those, but toneboys comment was very interesting and thats certainly something I'm goin to have to think about.
In response to Unknown Doodl3.2, I'm just looking for great playability and tone more than anything, the trem issue doesn't matter too much as I've got a whammy pedal but then again I'm used to dealing with floyds so it really doesn't matter.
What do you guys reckon of a jem 555?

Definitely DON'T buy a JEM555...total waste of money. Stick with your previous choices and you can't go wrong.
