Need to add a pickguard to my RG2570,can this be done

Hi guys,
I just bought a prestige RG2570 in vital silver that has some damage around the pickup holes.I want to a mirror guard to hide the damage.Can this be done without any big mods or can i just buy a jem guard and fit it to the guitar.Someone told me I have to make the pot holes bigger is that true any help would be appreciated.

I don't think you will need to do any mods like "make the pot holes bigger", just get a pickguard meant for direct mounted pickups. It's like the same pickguard found on the Jem77FP.

Make sure you get a right fit though. The guard itself might interfere with the trem.

Why don't you just to repair the damage instead of drilling holes in the guitar for a pickuguard?
