Neoclassical Players

Do any signed Neo-Classical players use Ibanez guitars? I'm not talking about just shred runs and fast random playing, but real skilled neoclassical players. I guess Gilbert does some neo stuff as well as Vai and Satch but is there other lesser known players?

Re: Neoclassical Players

Well, Michael Romeo from Symphony X plays some neo-classical stuff, but he uses ESP and Caparison.

Re: Neoclassical Players

IMO, the jumbo fretted ibanez's, like most prestiges, are ideal for classical music, due to the wider necks for easier fingerpicking.

Re: Neoclassical Players

Finnish prog/neo-classical heavy metal player Timo Tolkki used Jem77FP at early 90's and I believe he has used some Ibanez Rg's too.

Thumbs up

Re: Neoclassical Players

James Byrd used to be endorsed by Ibanez back in the 80's when he was with
the band "Fifth Angel" then he was endorsed by ESP and now he uses and sells his own brand name guitars. This guy is a phenomenal guitar player, even Yngwie Malmsteen has mentioned it, which is quite amazing coming from him since he thinks every Neoclassical player is out to copy him.
