New guitar day!! Need advice for new P/U's..

Hi guys!..

It's one of those days again!!.. Just found a barely used RGA121 natural finish!.. That thing is awesome!!. Got it for 475$ with J-Craft hard case.. I think that was a good deal...

But now, the this is this guitar comes with the V7/V8 Ibanez pickups and they have to go... Truth is that the neck pickup could stay as I do not use it a lot and it sounds pretty good.. But the bridge pickup I want to change..

I know this question has bees asked before, but I am not very knowledgeable in the sounds of the different models of pickups... I got an N4 with the XL500 in and a S2020x with the ToneZone/Air Norton combo.. So I would like to get something different for this one, but still with fairly high output.. Also might get a JEM WH soon, so I wont get an Evo PU

As for what type of sound I want... I would say that I am mainly looking for the 80's rock/metal sound... Quite a bit of distortion but not like nu-metal.. More like a hot Marshall or Soldano... Here are a few distortions I like:

- George Lynch on Dokken's Back for the Attack
- Jake E Lee in Badlands
- Van Halen
- Nuno on Extreme's Pornograffiti..
- Zakk Wylde with Ozzy
- A bit of Satriani and Vai..

So, what would you recommend for my bridge and maybe neck pickup?..

Thanks a lot..

Super Distortions ?

OR better yet, Paf Pros. I think they are universal, and most of these guys have used em'. George Lynch had emg 81's no ?>

Seymour Duncan JB Bridge/Jazz neck.
You must try it at least once.

Yeah, I am really intrigued by the Breed.... That was one of my choices... Arent the SD and JB pickups that have been out for a long time?... Dunno, was tempted to try something maybe a bit more 'current'?... Are the JB high output?.. Let's say compared to a TZ?

You cannot compare a JB with anything I tried to find out before I bought mine.

Ok, but say, between the Breed and the JB, which one will be less muddy, more clarity?.. especially on low strings?... Which one would have better pinch harmonics?

why not just keep the pups and mess about with your amp and/or pedals? it seems everyone is obsessed with changing pups here
