New Prestige owner..could use a little info..

Hi Everyone, new here and new to Ibanez. I bought a RG2620 Prestige over the weekend I just fell in love with the neck. The pups had been replaced with a Dimarzio D Sonic in the bridge and Air Norton in the neck. I love it, and it was cheap, so even better.

Anyway, I believe this guitar has the Edge Pro Trem and this is my first Trem guitar besides a vintage strat.

The whole assembly looks like it is sunken in the body pretty deep. Friend of mine is an Ibanez junkie and said that the bevel on the trem should be up above the body where it is "floating" and it currently looks like you can only push it down. I Never use a trem, so is this an issue for me?

first, read all this:

the knife edges of the trem need to be parallel with the guitar, at 90 degrees with the trem posts.

Yeah should be at 90 degrees. If it's dropped in too far that increases string tension among other things making bends harder.
