New Prestige - Rg 2120k

Have any of you seen this thing yet. It's roughly like a normal Rg3120 but not really.
differences
1. Flamed Koa top
2. matching head stock
3. Air norton in neck not paf pro
4. J-custom sized neck

That's beautiful--a very nice flame for koa, great matching headstock, and I really like the AN instead of the PAF Pro. *Is there a price listed?

yes there is 114,000 yen the same price they charge for a RG-1680. *That is about $928 u.s. and shipping from ishibashi is only 80-90 dollars. and it's really easy, I recently got a RG-1880 from them and they got it to my door in 4 day and customs didn't even charge me anything. *One last thing the guitar lists for 145,000 yen.

Thanks, winterlong...so your experience with Ishibashi was a good one? *Where did youhave it shipped to? *Was the top on your 1880 as nice as expected?

I've considered ordering but had reservations.

The guitar came in to the country through kennedy *and straight to my house in PA. *
About the top it is about the nicest Flamed maple top I've seen on a Ibanez. But and It is a big but, I got it in the blue black burst finish and it dosn't really show the grain as well as I would have like. *Maybe in part because the stain just does not seem to be as deep as I think it should be. *Other notes on the notes about the guitar the neck is huge and a little hard to get used to, *but I find a bigger neck that you can really grab a of hold so much more comfortible. *and last the 1880 is the finest crafted ibanez I own, the frets are perfect(they are 1605 just so you know). *I like it way *more than my prestige, 2 s540fm, usrg30, and even my old fav Usa custom.

Nice, but IMHO they need to start using 2-1-2 pickup configurations again.... glen

no way!...keep the 2 hums and leave the middle out...get a coil tap or something...it looks so much nicer and the sounds are just as good or better plus no middle to coil to get in the way of picking which it does for me (note this is personal preferance).
