New RG770DXLB Reissue. Gain issues with Pickups F4, F2

Hey guys I'm new here and I just got my new RG770DX reissue. I love the color and it plays like a dream. My issue is the pickups. The F4, F2

I also have a RG550 reissue with the V7, V1 pickups and these are pretty hot. I get a lot of gain out of them. Also I compared the RG770 pickups to my 87 JEM w/PAF pro's and not even close. The gain on these is about 30-40% lower. There's not a drop in volumn (output) just not driving my amp. I tried it with several amps. ADA MP-1, Triaxis. Really noticeble on the Triaxis. Very little gain, event on the highest settings. Is that just the way it is, or has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks for any help!!

Does adjusting the pickup height improve things?

I can't speak to the reissues, but I had an early 90's DX and I have an RG-750 with the pups from a violet DX in it, and from my experience this is unfortunately the way they are. These pups are the only weak link in an otherwise great guitar. Others may not agree, but it's definitely my opinion.

Try adjusting the pickup height. I don't have any problems with my 770 reissues. I found them to be full, warm and vibrant with plenty of output. I actually thought they sounded awesome. I wouldn't swap them out for anything else.
