New to Forum Got a USA CUSTOM - Unknown Usa Custom, Help wit

ok i aquired an Ibanez usa custom model used from my local music store. its the exact same body as found on the JOE SATRIANI model, with a 22 fret neck that has "Custom Made" inlayed on the 22 fret.

the volume is in the same spot as the Satch moddel but the tone is where the 3 way switch would normally be on the Sactch model. the 3 way on mine is ****ed at about a 45 degree angle from the volume, so its kinda in the way when yoru strumming.

it has an ibanez lo-pro edge tremelo, it has a dark jewel blue finish and it has "IBZUSAF1" written on both humbuckers. there is no serial number on the neckplate, i reckon cuz its a custom model, but there is one on the back of the head stock and it is : F124816 idk how to determine what it is but if this is useful to someone here to help me figure out what im holding in my hands right now it would be greatly appreciated.

thanks and Godbless

They're listed on the Blue Horizon site. One of you guys with organized bookmarks lay the link on us?

25.5" scale length
I figure it's a 430mm Radius

thanks, would you guys happen to know what wood it is. i think its basswood cuz it seems pretty soft ive banged it once or twice on accident and it dents easy. *are there any sites that are dedicated to thesounds description of the pickups found on the custom models. like the F1 humbucker which was designed by dimarzio and ibanez right?

even though i like the sound of the pickups, im thinking i want somthing hotter, i have evo's in my ibanez artist, but idk theres somthing aobu them, i think someone described them as a compressed sound. that sums it up sorta. but ive been looking at a tone zone, a fred, a pafpro, and an airzone. *i just need a really honest opinion, right now i have a real straty sound, which i like cuz its such a departure from my artist reissue, which is like a les paul tonally, but i just want more guts, balls and drive.

Thanks again

God bless

If i remember, i'll post a JPG when i get home... i should have the catalog scan. It's a basswood body... all specs like the S/JS series that followed. Some pickup info (if they're labeled) is in the Jemsite GUITAR area.

FYI this is not designated as a USA Custom ... glen

Yep. Definitely not the elite "USA Custom" that this forum area caters to. This is just one of those funny geetars that Ibanez put the "Custom" inlay on. It is a standard production guitar, but a nice one.
