NGD! 1997 RG1802 SLK
I've finally joined the ranks of
J Custom
ownership. Properly.
Pictures don't do this guitar any justice. The color is "silky black", but it's got this super cool deep green look to it - I'm assuming from age. The guitar feels great and sounds incredible... a real piece of playable art. Love it.
Once again - I can't say enough good things about Rich Harris/Ibanez Rules as a dealer. Keep up the good work!
...and it came with all this cool Japanese paperwork:

Looks great. Very cool guitar and an excellent example of a very early J Custom.

On the color, I think that's how they were. If it was age the binding would be yellowed and they look normal to me. Although there could be some aging to the color.

I have a rg3120 same year of production and looks like same color. Bought it new at the time and preserved well.
My guitars color seems almost identical; the stronger the light it turns from brown to green. This can be noticed on second photograph, tip of upper horn is almost brown while body gets greener to the bridge.
Nice guitar

Nice guitar
I noticed this exact thing yesterday.. it's seems that at work, under the big flouescents & sodium lights in the shop, it pops that green color. When I got it home under my regular bulbs it the black is back.
I don't care either way.
