NGD: AT100CL!!!!!!

Just came in the door ten minutes ago! THANKS RICH!!!!

This is a beautiful guitar!!!! Stopped drooling long enough for a couple of quick pics to share. Naturally, the batteries in BOTH digital cameras chose this exact time to take a dump, so this is all I've got for now. I'll give more in-depth impressions and post more pics later after I've toweled myself off.

In the meantime, enjoy:

I was looking at one of these too. What is the neck like?

Very nice though.

Yeah - it's just like a GIO, oddly enough. What was Timmons thinking? That's like saying a PRS resembles a Hondo. If you don't like it, that's fine, but you don't have to post it like a knob. Why don't you go over to the Photography Thread and insult the pictures of people's kids while you're at it.

Fortunately, it doesn't play or feel like a GIO, and I love it. Aside from my now heavily modded RX240, this is the only classic-strat-like Ibanez I own. Everything else is RG based. Even my wife was surprised that I wanted a guitar that looked like this. But it's damn nice. Tone's very warm - this AT1 pickup rocks. The factory action is a little high, but it feels great even with the ultra-fat neck. I really felt the neck would be more of an issue since I'm so used to the thin Wizard, but it's not THAT bad. It has a really nice feel.

That in no way looks like a GIO to me. This was one of the NAMM highlights in my opinion, its such an extraordinary, classy looking guitar.

Glad you got it by the weekend.

Haven't you learned yet to have fresh batteries standing by when guitars are expected? You'd probably go into the delivery room with dead batteries wouldn't you?!

Re: NGD: AT100CL!!!!!!

the only similarity to me is the straight headstock. but much nicer. ha ha. i dig the straight headstock. its a refreshing change from the normal tilted RG headstock.

Awesome guitar man! Here's a pic of me with one of my custom guitars at Andy's clinic, right next to Andy's original classic Ibanez and his more recent signature model

It's pretty simple why he took offense dude. If you dont like the guitar, dont comment. Someone has a NGD, theyre always very happy as im sure you are when you get a new guitar, and then some dude comes in and craps all over the OP's brand new guitar. Nobody would feel good about that. And its absolutely uncalled for, considering the OP didnt even ask for anyone's opinion. He was just showin' his new baby, no need to be a jerk.

LOL!! I'll make sure to have spares handy next time! Seriously though, thanks much for the help with this one. Couldn't be more pleased, and the quartersawn fretboard looks even better in person. Too cool.

Thanks for the kind words! I'm in no hurry to wear out that gorgeous fretboard though! Gotta ease into it.
