Thumbs up

Re: NGD RGT220a

verdict in. The PAF Pro in the bridge of this guitar is AMAZING. PERFECT! I like the hum from hell, but it's not for everyone for sure. Exactly what I was expecting it to be, and wanted it to be.

I am amazed at how well these 2 pickups match together.

j.t.i. Thanks for your contribution and actually posting your thoughts. I'm not really keen on the Humbucker from Hell and I already have a PAF (its awesome) on my other guitar so I'm looking for something different. For now however I'll stay stock

To answer LowYaw's question. I haven't played the mahogany model and thus I have no idea how t sounds. That said, even though I like the fat warm punchy tone I didn't find the 220A bright in anyway. It does have a "quack" which I like when split coils are selected . Hope that answered your question.

And finally:

Excuse my photography skills. They're crap. But I think this photo showed the wood grain better

no problem bro.

another combo that I like is the Dimarzio X2N (bridge) and PAF 36 (neck). I have this combo in my s540.

the PAF Pro sounds REALLY good in this 220a though
