NGD RGT220a

So this is my first Ibby and it won't be the last for sure

Went to the local Ibanez dealer to check out what stuff he had laying around the shop and came across this RGT220 which I instantly fell in love with.

Being a rather old man and soon to retire (the shopkeeper) I took it for a awesomely low price

!

Note: I pulled off the tags before taking the photo :P

Love the 22As. Fantastic guitars; congratulations on your purchase! I played one a few years ago and loved it, too.

I'm finalising my pedalboard and need to change the amp first. Till then I'd have decided and whether to change my pups or not.

That said I'm quite happy with what I've got

Cool. I was just wondering. I got the same guitar, as I said earlier, and the pickups IMO are unbearable. I am currently waiting for Dimarzio to get their heads outta their ass's and get my order right, so I can take these ibz's out and finally play my RGT220

Cool? What are you thinking of putting in? I think I'll eventually put an SD Jazz/JB... although I'm considering the DM Air Norton/Tone Zone option as well...

how does it sound? i was choosing between mahogany and ash RGTs, and finally picked the Mah one, because I was really afraid the ash one would be too bright

I've ordered a PAF Pro for the bridge position, and a Humbucker from Hell for the neck position as I want a good single coil option. I actually prefer a single in the neck position (most of the time).
