NGD USA Custom Graphic....My 1st

Well my first USCG arrived and I couldn't be much more pleased. It came in better shape than I was actually expecting and REVERSE heady....I love em. I think I am going back to the IBZ F2 and F1 as I have a set. Im pretty sure I have a C2 hidden somewhere in the house, but I may be on the lookout for one of those if I can't find it.

Here she is:

Congrats. Great guitars and assembled in Hollywood by people who took pride in their work. EMGs may be stock. As well as any F or C series plus a number of Dimarzios. Use what you like and enjoy the hell out of it. I'd say you got a great deal. Did it come with a case?

I did get an Ibanez case with it in very good shape, but just a normal rectangular tolex style rg140c I believe is the model. The EMG's might be stock, but I already have like 8 or 9 guitars with emgs so Im gunna pull em.

Nice. Was that on eBay recently?

I don't know that I've seen an F1 in the neck of a UCGR, usually I've seen F4's. But that's the beauty of it: it could have come with anything so whatever you put in there is "right".

My awesome "Surprise" that I bought from TAorama during his big selloff has a C1 in the middle, which I've not ever seen before.

Yeah, I just don't have an F4 atm. I prolly put the f1 in and check it out, if I don't like it I will hunt down a 4. I had a thread started in the pickups section on what I should put in it, when it arrived.

Yes it was on the bay, however I bought it straight from the guy after an ebay bidder didn't come through with the money.

Re: NGD USA Custom Graphic....My 1st

Well the F1 was used in the neck position on the 540R for a while and that's a basswood guitar. I'd say go with that, it sounds pretty cool. This is a pretty good explanation of the different pickups from the '91 Ibanez catalog (thanks to Rich's site for the pic)

Re: NGD USA Custom Graphic....My 1st

Well I put the F2 and F1 in today, had to settle for an S1 in the middle for now as I couldnt find anything else. Love how the F2 is sounding so far, the F1 isn't bad either, but I may have to hunt a 4 down and try it out also.

Awesome USA man!!! She looks fabulous!!!!

FWIW, I think I have an extra F4 but it's a grey bobbin, not black.

Thanks, I probably wouldn't put a grey one in this guitar, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't like to have it...lol.

One question, what would be the adequate price for buying such guitar?
