Opinions on the RG2770FM
Hey, I'm thinking about trying to save and get this:
Does anyone have any experiences or opinions about it?

Re: Opinions on the RG2770FM
Looks very nice. Shame about the skinny neck or I'd be tempted myself.

That's the exact guitar I've been looking for. Shame it's not available in the US, or I'd go after one.

Re: Opinions on the RG2770FM
The J Customs are good guitars but not hugely different than many of the
prestige guitars
like the RG3120. Ibanez insists on making everything out of Mahogony with only a few exceptions.
All the J customs I played had 5 piece necks with what felt very much like the wizard profile. They were all pretty thin and were pretty similar to the RG 3120 profile. So structurally, the J Customs had 3 pieces of maple and 2 thin strips of something else, maybe bubinga.
The exchange rate is favorable between US and Japan so I say go for it.If I had the money, I'd import J customs and sell em like hot cakes.

Re: Opinions on the RG2770FM
This looks like it'll cost me €1050 (I'm in Ireland) and that's without a case. Considering a
Gibson
Les Paul
Studio is €1600 locally, that's a damn fine deal in my book.
Don't suppose anyone has any better pics of it besides what's on the Ishibashi site?

Re: Opinions on the RG2770FM
I have the Rg2720FM TB (the HH version of it), and I must say it is a wonderful guitar, looks beautiful, and plays beautifully
If you want, I could send you some pictures of it.

Re: Opinions on the RG2770FM
basically same as 2550, except offset dots and flame top.
i have a 2550 and really love mine. the thin neck and slick finish really suits my style.
