per Ishibashi, 9's recommended with Edge Pro

That is what I was quoted by Rachel at Ishibashi upon ordering my RG8470RS. However, I like to have 10's on all my axes, well because I've used them for 26 years and I like that gauge. She said they could put them on no problem. My question is, since the 9's are recommended, will it hurt anything or make things go whacky?

You will have to adjust the spring tension in the back to balance out the bridge. I would leave the 9s on for now and fix it once you actually get your guitar, because when I asked ishibashi to put on 10s they just restrung it and didn't adjust anything

I'm guessing it's because they "set up" their guitars for 9s.

it won't hurt anything.
you'll just have to adjust the tremolo springs and maybe the truss rod
