PGM Neck

How are PGM's necks?, do they feel more like a jem, or a prestige?

Re: PGM Neck

A lot of them are different.

I have a PGM500 and a PGM301 and the 500 has a 1 piece Wizard profile and the 301 feels like a Wizard II.

Re: PGM Neck

It just depends on which model you're looking at. If it's a new 301, it has the 5 piece prestige neck. --Jason

Re: PGM Neck

Ive thought about this question every time I want to buy a new PGM. Ive never played one, but Ive heard they feel different from a regular Prestige wizard.

Re: PGM Neck

i belive that the 301 has a neck either very much like or exactly like a wizard 2 . i can't say for sure because i have never played a pgm but at least on paper they look the same .

Re: PGM Neck

My 2005 PGM301's neck is just like my 2005 Jem7vwh except for the inlays and fret board of course.

According to the japanese Ibanez page, it's also the same neck profile of all of their RG Prestige Models.

I thought that the JEM7V had an Ultra neck (or somehting like that) that was a little more thick than a regular wizard profile. When did they change this?
