Pickup covers for my S2020XAV

Hi. This may be a dumb question. Does any company make covers that do not attach to screws? I'm sure you know the QMs do not have that type of polepiece.

Thanks in advance!

Do you mean the metal covers like on classic Gibson humbuckers?

Those don't actually attach with screws. They slide over the entire pickup and are soldered to the base plate. The screws are just the slot-screw pole pieces that protrude through the six holes in the cover.

Really? That's interesting. So that means I could use any cover that would fit?

Yes although I only think this looks good on transparent finishes, but it will also help your pickups from feeding back, so you might like the tonal results

I want something to smooth out, or mellow the tone a little bit. I may throw some AlNiCo pickups in it, but I have not decided if I will, and what model to put in if I do. What do you think? Paf-Pro's? SD Antiquities?
