Pics of my dynamic duo! Metal!!!

Well, I got my RG2610 in today, set it up, and I absolutely love it. Here are the pics of my new killer 6 string and my killer 7. Somehow when the 2610 came in today the locking nuts had worked their way out of the neck during shipping and I had to literaly rip my Prestige case padding up to get them, that sucked but the guitar plays awsome.

Your RG2610 looks sweet. It looks so... pure metal.
Who needs a neck pickup, anyway?

Since most Ibanez people are also Dimarzio people - do you like the Seymour Duncan or are you planning to change it?

Wow!

That 2610 is HOT, might have to look closer at one of those for my next purchase.

It's a cool thing the lock nut pads didn't scratch up the top. Consider yourself lucky that you only had to dig in the case for them and not find them scratching up the top or something.

Congrats. Nice axes.

Re: Pics of my dynamic duo! Metal!!!

The 2610 is a killer guitar, I just did a lite set up on it yesterday cause I had a DR appt. I do plan on changing the pickup one day when I get the money. I expected to the pickup to be very high output and be all mids and highs, but it is actually quite clear, nowhere nere as bright and poppy as I thought it would be. When I first seen the lockers had worked out of the neck I was terrified that they were sitting under the guitar, I have had trem bars do that, but it managed to work its way between the padding so I had to rip corner away from the hot glue and get my wife to stick her hand in there and get it out. As soon as I figure out how to upload vids I will post one somtime.

Re: Pics of my dynamic duo! Metal!!!

Ok, I have just got done doing a very thorough setup, changing the strings, conditioning the fretboard, truss rod, etc.... I love it, the guitar is playing awsome. Like I said though, the pickup is nowhere near as hot as a Evo, but it crystal clear, not bassy or too much mids or highs, just right. The pickup sounds good for rythem but it actually sounds awsome for leadwork, does not sound thin or distorted like most bridge pickups. So, overall the 2610 is worth the guitar for anyone interested in purchasing one, make sure you get a good setup though cause mine came in brand spanking new with the neck drooping a bit. I think I will stick with the pickup I got right now because I am afraid if I replace it with something too hot then everything I play with just always be too thin or the usual bridge sound.
