I was made as a signature guitar for some German guy, Rudi Buttas from the band Pur, and I think he wanted something that looked cool.
(Don’t know, just guessing).

But imaging covering your fretboard in plastic, very similar to the colour filters on spotlights, and play it. It, to my hand, feels even worse then it sounds like it would.
I’m pretty sure that’s why all of them are in so good condition, most people just own them, but never play them. (Again, just guessing).

EDIT: With that said, it is one of the best biult Ibanez guitars I have ever tried.
And it is a dream when the green was removed and the electronics was re-wired (just a personal taste thing).

I don't have any problems with the green plastic on the fretboard, so I'm not going to remove it. For that, that the guitar is almost 11 years old, it is in a near mint condition. IMHO it plays very well. The neck feels very good and comfortable to me, a little bit thinner then my RGT2020.

I'm enjoying this guitar very much.
