Thumbs up

Praise: SZ2020

the SZ202 plays & sings real well, i was a little sceptical initially, until i played it in the store today. thumbs way up to the Duncans in there, a very versatile pair, handles high gain & blues crunch exceptionally.

the MM1 bridge is an acquired taste but i like it after i've played the 2020. if you think it kills sustain, then be assured that it didn't. it feels less comfy for sure because it doesn't sport the smooth physiques of the Gibraltar unit, nevertheless is an acceptable resident.

however, those cream plastic tuners are a little out of place, they get stained very easily too. also, no hard case offered...

anyone else tried one?

Re: Praise: SZ2020

nope. it was more pleasant, but do not expect anything spectacular because the 2020 maple caps are ungraded maple...

Re: Praise: SZ2020

some info: the new SZ2020 features height adjustable machine heads, so that you can vary the break angle from the nut to the head slots. cool...
