Cort seems to try SO much harder on their own stuff. I've reviewed quite a few recently for the magazine and most have been hitting well above their weight.

They sent me a custom shop acoustic made of Australian timbers and holy crap, that was an amazing guitar. But they can't all be hand-made in the custom shop, of course.

What's special about it? Besides the stupid stripe. Kind of disapointing for a limited edition. The puzzle tops were much cooler.

Looks a bit "meh" if you ask me. Nice, but boring. Here's a version of that pic with brightness and contrast raised a little. Oh, it's a 3120 with a line down the middle! Great! At least we have another variation of black to add to the list, so it ain't all bad.

I agree with Cid on the small dots, though I don't think the guitar is anywhere near perfect. Just a matter of taste, really.

I actually don't like it. Reason why is because abalone is everywhere these days. I had a really crap Peavey V-Type that was absolutely covered in abalone; neck binding, body binding, headstock binding, the works. I've also seen lots of cheap Schecter's adorned in abalone too. Nowadays it reminds me of nothing but low-end guitars and it ends up looking cheesy, IMO. I have to go look at Zachary Z2-T's to see some BS-free axes after looking at those things.

"Himilayan Black" huh ? Leave it to Ibanez to think of yet another version of "black", sheesh. I like the abalone stripe and offset dots, but that's about it.
