Prestige country of manufacture

I heard recently that Ibanez had moved the manufacturing of some Prestige models from Japan to Korea. Are lower end Prestige models such as the RG1570 still made in Japan or are they now made in Korea? What models are currently made in Korea?

The S series Prestige guitars are made in Korea. This includes the SA's and Sz's.

All the Prestige RG's are made in Japan by Team J-Craft.

I have a 98 Prestige S2540 that is Japanese

Japan or Korea doesn`t really matter to me when were talking about Prestige models. I have a S2170 and it could say Made In USA on the back of the headstock and i wouldn`t think twice about it,thats how nice it is!!! Also,i`ve had plenty of MIJ and MIA guitars in my time and my S2170 is just as good if not better!

I think 2008 brought back the S Prestiges to Japan.

I tried an MIK S2170 and it was fine (except for that bastard middle pickup, and I hate how things come with 9s as standard).

Those are nice too!!! But like i said i love my MIK S2170 and i wouldn`t trade it for anything!
