Prestige hard case - odd smell!

Yhey probably have rats at the factory or warehouse where they are stored and something was nesting there for a while before it was shipped. I had to get rid of a car because of an accidental piss situation that I won't get into here, but I will say it doesn't go away.

so its not just me .... i mean my case that stinks of cat pi ss not me. My JS1200 has that weird kinda smell, i always had my doubts whether it was glue, or the felt lining or a twat!

My 550 case smells very nice and jem prestige case has a slight pleasing smell, but the JS prestige case... jesus!

lets hope its the glue! i got the JS1200 14 months ago so that ties in with the time frame that was mentioned earlier. fingers crossed!

What would be a good spray or other contraption to get rid of the smell because the stale and sterile smell of my case really ruins the wow factor when I open the case. I just go "WOW THAT STINKS!"

Glad I'm not the only one then! Unless they keep cats in the basement of the shop in Brighton where I got mine guitar, or a disgruntled employee has been taking his grudge out on customers!

Funny thing is, it's not all of the inside of the case, just one part of the large central 'well' that accomodates the guitar body.

Oh, and it DOES smell of cats p!ss......

we could attach some magic trees to the cieling of the case, so when it opens up they just dangle down

i'll try and add a serious comment, have you guys tried fabreez or similar? other than that try some pet wee de-oderiser, i know it's not animal wee, but if it gets rid of Real wee wee smells, it might do the trick for cases (both are meant for fabrics too)
