Pricing a USRG30

I'm not sure if this model falls into the "J-Custom" catagory, so Moderators feel free to move as needed.

I have a chance to purchase a near mint purple quilt USRG30. It has had the bridge pup replaced with a SD Screemin Demon. Bound neck, offset inlay. Lo-Pro edge and a PafPro in the neck. Comes with Ibanez hsc.

The guy says that there are no blemishes on the body or neck. It has been played and I expect to see some minor scratches on the body, but the pics he sent don't show any.

What would be a fair price for it....$750?????

Pricing a USRG30

I might have an actual list price this afternoon if i can locate my '94 catalog/list. That is the best USRG and sold for about $1200USD street or more. Either way that is a fair price considering it is less than what the cheaper USRG10 (fixed bridge) sold new from most dealers... glen

I bought a purple USRG30 with the Lo Pro in it for right at 750 I think it was. *It was from that guy that bought the two -JP owned- guitars and then sold them both a week later. great guitar, totally loved it. *needed the money, sold it to a buddy/ex-roommate. *He wont sell it back to me now. *Im pretty bummed.

If I remember my GW Buyers Guide, list price in 96 was either $1500 or $1700. The $1500 could have been the USRG 10, I don't really remember. $725 seems a little bit high, they're usually on ebay for about $50-$100 less, but if you really like the Screamin Demon, that makes up for it. I personnaly like the Tone Zone which came stock in that guitar.

And this brings up another question. Should the upper line RG's threads be posted with the J Custom's? I'm talking Prestiges, USA Customs, American Masters... They just seem beyond "other 6 string guitars".

I'll let them stay here since the history of this line was this...

USA Custom --> USRG --> J-Custom

Hmmm... I should change the topic description.

I got my USRG30 in a dark Blue-Gren finish in near mint for $695. I would have paid probably up to $800 for this particular guitar, I love it. Let me know what you think of it when you get it. Also, can someone help me out on the name of the dark blue-green color, I'm not sure what it is.
