Q about RG770 Custom Graphic by Pamalina

I have a chance to trade my Carvin DC 127 for a USA Custom Shop Graphic RG770 painted by Pamalina. *It's almost flawless. *

My question is what graphic does it have? *I can post a pic later, but it has a wicked looking face with white eyes and white teeth on a blue and black background with what kind of looks like water splashing around and rolling off the sides, black plastic knobs, black HSH pickups, and a two piece neck ( yes, I said two) with USA Custom on the headstock and sharkstooth inlays with black paint around the edges of the inlay. *Licensed Floyd edge trem.

Any help would be highly appreciated.

You can get specs here:

http://www.jemsite.com/usa/index.htm#ucgr

If you post a pic, I'm sure someone here can get you the proper model number/name for it.

I 've only seen it at theibanez register and it lists it with the name "Strung Out", but not many info there except that it's probably a 1990 only production.

Thanks. *I saw it there, but mine is quite different. *It may in fact be pre-production being that (1) Mine has a two peice neck (all of these models had one piece necks). (2) Mine has the All Access Neck Joint (AANJ), only thought to be on 1991 and later models. (3) Mine also was made in PA, USA prior to the move to CA (Signed by Pamalina 1990). *Another thing to note (4) is the "Strung Out" graphic model was not listed as one of the original 22 models put out by Ibanez during this time. *Makes one wonder. Now if I can just find Pamalina.

That's a 1 piece neck. It's not AANJ, it has the standard neck plate. Made in Japan, painted and assembled in the US. AFAIK Pamelina is still doing tatoos on the strip in LA.

can we make it an OFFICIAL forum rule to NEVER throw around the words prototype so lightly, even with good intention!

P11.JPG is a non-aanj with the typical ONE-PIECE neck (headstock doesn't count) from ibz. This graphic was obviously a pattern not listed in the catalog, maybe due to the artist's availability/stability. The axes pictured are the same, just w/ different options (neck and pickups).

A cool and rare axe and if it had J-Custom on the headstock Kev would be going nutz  ...glen

Huh? *Its a two piece neck. *I have it right here next to me. *The body route (According to Ibanez) is the AANJ. *The body was made in Japan and routed only for the neck humbucker. *It was assynbled in Bensalem, PA USA. The serial number says its a 91, so does the AANJ, but ah, it is signed on the body in paint by Pamalina 1990. *Am I missing something here?

nothing is fishy. the body was obviously painted before it was assembled (1990). The painted/signed bodies were make into a guitar afterwards (1991) regardless of which neck plate was used. These are just that... metal neck plates.

Click GUITARS in the green menu and surf around to learn more about ibanez necks, etc ...glen

F919324

Where was it stolen from? *I have the original prestige delux case with same serial# and warranty card, trem booklet, and where the poor soul who bought it was figuring his monthly payments of $294.80 X 6 months = $1768.50. * Is it worth $265.00?
