Question about Edge Zero Trem
ok so here's the deal. I am thinking of having my RG prestige painted. IN a sweet color - but it would be pretty expensive. I happened to find exact same color on a new replacement JEM body, which would save me some money. Now my current guitar has an edge zero trem, the jem bodies are routed for edge pro trems if i recall correctly.
Anyone know if the edge zero trem will drop into a JEM body? The plate that the springs/ thumbwheel mount to.. will that fit in the cavity without routing? I know the two forward most mounting 'arms' will need to be have a small channel routed in the body but i'm wondering if the plate will fit easy enough.
I only have an RG prestige body and the trem here, don't have an JEM body to check. Anyone know a place where I can find dimensions of ibanez parts / bodies to check fit?
Worst case i'll just send the RG body for painting but this would save me a significant amount of time and money if the parts would fit on a JEM body with minor mods.
