Remake the HRG-2000

O.k. I see everyone is going crazy for this guitar and I've talked with a few people that worked at ibanez(I work in a guitar shop bytheway) and found that this guitar has the same neck and body of a RG9670. SO what I would do is find a RG9670 which already has the soft gold trem, and the tree if life inlay and have the guitar and headstock retopped with a better quilted top and add ablone around the body,neck, and head. This is just another way to get your dream guitar. Plus you can repaint it any color you want. hope this fuels the fire or puts it out. Anyway that's what I'm doing. The trouble would be finding an RG8670 that you didn't mind tearing apart, and then actually having the stones to grind the top off of it! It's one thing to rip into an old RG570 - something entirey different to do it to a JC. Ugh!

Personally, I wouldn't waste the effort, because I HATE the damned things with a passion.

But, like the man above says, it's your guitar if you want to rip it up.

O.k. I unstand that come people see this as a bad thing, but I don't think Ibanez puts nice tops on there guitars in the first place. If you want to see a great top on a guitar check out McNaught guitars or even private stock PRS's. I was putting out info on how to re-make the HRG2000. First off it's a RG9670 or RG4 and I would just be changing the top and binding. So, while everyone is waiting and wanting this guitar, I'll be playing one.
