Rg 1570

I just recieved my rg 1570 from sameday music. The serial number has an 03 on it. Doesn't that mean 2003 model? what ever happen to the 2004 model?

Yes, it is. You need to set it up properly To change to the tremangle downwards, you need to tighten up the tremsprings in the backcavity.

Doing that will change the action (stringheight) as well though.
Anyways, unlock your toplock, set the angle, re-tune to pitch, reset angle, re-tune to pitch and repeat that till your happy with the angle at a normal pitch. Then you probably need to sort the action out.

Re: Rg 1570

right now it looks like its a little too low...don't base the starightness from the top of the baseplate but from the bottom.

like this..taken from rich's tech pages.

I was looking at the prestige manual and it showed this as being correct:

Rich's pic there is of a LoPro Edge, Pika's guitar has a Edge Pro. That second picture looks just about right on the money.

Yup, look's fine to me as well With an Edge Pro it should sit parallel to the body.

Re: Rg 1570

even with EP, don't think the top should be parallel with the body. i always adjust mine looking at the knife edge itself. look at the side of the trem from top, there's a small line that i use to guide the parallel line. even the photo posted by dex shows this.

the EP trem is curvy, so difficult to judge just looking from top. i don't think the ibanez's diagram is 100% modelled of the EP.
