Hi!
I have an offer for a RG 2027 X with piezo pickup in great conditon.
How much is it worth to pay for it?
What do you guess?
Thanks!

Re: Rg 2027 X

if it isn't outrageous by your own standarts just go buy it mate. It's such a beatiful guitar.
I'm sorry to say I don't know its second hand price but I think that guitar is worth a lot.
My advice would be to get it no matter what. I'm sure someone here will provide you with a price... In the end you'll end up buying it

Agree. Get it. Depending on condition anywhere from $800-$1,100 is reasonable IMO.

Re: Rg 2027 X

Well, depends where you are, but I'd say if it's in really good condition then get it. They are rare, and it's got the piezo on a locking floyd AND on a 7. I've had mine for 3+ years now and I won't be parting with it any time soon! They are lovely to play

As for value, I paid 700£ for mine in mint condition (but with faulty piezo's that I got fixed up) 3 years ago. But that may be of absolutely no use to you if you're in the states!

I'd get it. They are fantastic guitars, and a rarity to boot. The only thing that'd be better is getting a RG7CST

Re: Rg 2027 X

the price is 850 Euros. Sounds good.
What about the neck?
I had a RG 1527 some days ago for testing and this was great. Is the 2027's neck the same shape?

Re: Rg 2027 X

Never played a 1527, but the 2027 neck has the quintessential Ibanez feel, in other words, it's fantastic. That is one of the best guitars Ibanez has ever produced...I sorely regret selling mine. At that price it is a bargain, especially in Europe where you folks get it stuck to you on a repeated basis. BUY IT!!!!

Get it. Now. And if you decide to part with it again, let me know.

Re: Rg 2027 X

Actually, used price is a bit higher these days for a 2027 in good shape - 1100-1400 is about the range I've seen of late. As such, your price is a good one.

The neck's a bit girthier than a 1527 - slightly thicker, and more of a D-shape, with a flatter back and steeper sloping shoulders. It's actually quite comfy. It's been ages since I've played one (I sold my 2027 years ago), but as I recall it's a dead ringer for my (now former) CST.

I had a RG2127x which I recently sold that I miss. The piezo 7's are kick@$$ guitars and as long as it isn't overly overpriced by what you're willing to pay then get it. A 7 string piezo electric is hard to come by.

They're relatively rare, they're absolutely beautiful, and they're the only mass produced trem-equipped non signature seven string I can think of on the market. They'll only go up in price, IMO.

get it. the neck on it is awesome. It's not like a 1527, but then again the guitar isn't a 1527 either.

For that price, if you don't like it and if it's in good condition, you could sell it on at a small profit. You win either way basically.
