RG-2027X Finish vs. RG-2127X Finish
For those who have seen both. In terms of looks alone, which would you say that you like better? Vintage Violin or Trans Black.

No question VV, the TKF is a cool color but it doesnt have a
clear coat
. I have pics of both if you want to compare.

I'd like to see photos of the TBK if you could, Soloist... the trans VV on mahogany doesnt really do it for me

Idunno... got my 2027 this morning, and it is flat out the most
beautiful guitar
i've ever played... I think the richness of the mahogany just makes the color glow. If you've never seen one in person, i could understand that- the pics of the one i got looked a little dull and lifeless, but then i took the thing out of the case, and just started grinning. Too pretty.
Anyway, no accounting for personal taste.

That is what I love about mohagany bodied guitars that arent topped; the mohagany adds a three dimensional glow to the stain. Pictures dont really display the effect to well. By the way Drew, congrats on the 2027X

I kind of dig the black better but the Vintage violin is interesting.I actually like the transparent blue of my 2020x the best

Paul, the black looks cool but do you really like matte finishes? I agree with you on the 2020x, I have two of them one is an intense blue the other a more dark green-blue (it looks like a totally different stain), the blue over mohagany looks really nice.

I don't mind matte finishes.they have their place and gloss just shows damage and scratches more anyway. But it depends.that is why I like to buy everything

The little black button is a mini switch. It sets the output mode for the piezo. And the toggle is used once you decide if you are going to use both jacks or just one output jack.It is easier to pickup[ the guitar and fiddle with it than to explain it really. But it is all about sending the piezo to one jack or the other, then you use the
mini toggle
like I said to go from piezo to magnetic once you are set with your output mode.
