RG 2120X AND RG 2020X... Differences? Years of prod.?

Hi everyone, it's me again w/ my annoying questions...
So, what's the difference between the RG 2120x and the RG2020x?
On the 'wiring' diagrams at the Ibanez website, I see that the RG2120X is listed for 2002 and 2004, but I don't see the RG2020X anywhere. However, up to last night, I hadn't heard of a model RG2120X, only of the 2020x. I have been offered what I think is an RG2020X in VERY GOOD, nearly mint condition (well, IF it survived the hurricane) and I was wondering if it's the right axe for me. Thanks a lot!

I think that 2020x was produced in 2000&2001.
The difference...
-2020 only has volume control for piezzo pickups
-2120 also has 2band eq for piezzo

-2020 has ibanez v7&v8 pickups
-2120 has dimarzio ibz pickups

Also, what necks? I think the 2120 has an Ultra neck --does the 202 have an Ultra or a Wizard? Some people have told me the 2020 has a 'Wizard', and then on a website I read it had an Ultra Prestige neck.

You're right. 2020 has wizzard neck.

And maybe i was wrong about dimarzio/ibz pickups - not sure.

hahahahaaa.... to add to the confusion, the Ibanez website, on the 'parts' pages, lists the 2020X and the 2120X as having THE SAME NECK, a neck model they call "1NKRG2020".... huh?

Both guitars have identical bodies and necks.The only differences are the controls. THe 2120x has a 3 way toggle to select piezo, magnetic or both. The 2020x cannot run magnetic and piezo at the same time without modifications.

BUMMER! Oh, well.... it's still a great guitar. We'll see if it survived hurricane Katrina, and then I'll decide whether to buy it or not. For the moment, all I can do is wait.

well, I just got a message, and apparently the guitar is under a few feet of polluted water in New Orleans. Oh, well.... as usual, it sounded too good to be true.

Even though the owner is not really a 'friend' I'm still relieved he's alive and well. Good luck to anyone from those area that were affected by the hurricane!
