Question

RG 3270 PRESTIGE

Pardon my ignorance but is the RG 3270 Prestige a MIJ Ibanez?
Can't find any info on it on the Ibanez wesite.

Anyone have one?

Is it a good buy?

Yes, they were MIJ in 2003,(that's why no info on the web site) and only imported to the UK in quite small numbers. Excellent guitars with 'real' Dimarzios too !!

Definitely MIJ. It was the Ibanez Top of the line Prestige model. It's really a Japan Domestic Market (JDM) guitar so you won't find too much info on it elsewhere.

Well I ended up not buying the RG3270.
The guy/shop! who was selling it on fleabay pulled the sale a couple of days before it ended as it was looking like I was gonna get it for a low price so I guess he panicked as there was no reserve!
When I contacted him he said he pulled it cos it had an electical fault & would probably have to be sent back to Ibanez! Yeah right!!!

Then surprise surprise he re-listed it a couple of days later with a starting price of £900!!
Thats what I call an awesome repair service by Ibanez Japan! (Pardon the Sarcasm!)

Anyway no loss as I have now bought this:

Bargain at £840 brand new...Have to say I'm really impressed with this thing, couldn't put it down after it arrived yesterday!!
Also the Edge Zero Trem really does stay in tune. I had to remove the G string due to an intonation/buzzing problem and even with that string completely off the guitar stayed precisley in tune!

Nice !! Good deal too !! There are still a few RG3270's for sale in the UK for around the £900 mark and some may prefer the offset dots and Dimarzio paf pro pups, but it's just horses for courses.

Bit naughty of me really as I already have a Custom Herc Swirl Jem on order with Max and not that long ago bought a UV & also an Archtop AF125!

So I'm well on the way to having 4 bloody Ibanez's!!!
