RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars

There is one here in Germany that belongs to Holger S. of the Band Toxic Brainfood. See his homepage.

Hope that helps,
Oliver

RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars

gentlemen,

just trying to help us all reach the same conclusion. *My posts on this thread are not to confuse or upstage anyone. *I'm trying to help keep track. *If we share the information we have with one another, we will get a much more accurate quantity, than if we all search alone. *So is it safe to say my list from my earlier post can now be expanded?

1. ART - Kevan's
2. ART - vaijem777's
3. ART - vaijem777's friend - with EMGs
4. ART - one on **** Germany - who won't ship to USA!
4. ART - bduersch's
5. ART - JC's for sale
6. ART - Rich mentions for sale in Asia
7. ART - guitarist for Toxic Brainfood

I'm saying these are all seperate guitars...that we KNOW these are not duplicates.

Anyone else adding to my list?

later,
Chris

Getting the serial number is the ONLY way to do this properly (how many times do I have to say this?).
You're just buying trouble with incorrect numbers/confusion by letting anything aside from s/n's to get posted here.
You can do it right (from it's inception), or you can do it half-assed (and clean it up down the road). *
Your call.

Here's what I've got now -

1. ART - Kevan's
2. ART - vaijem777's
3. ART - vaijem777's friend - with EMGs
4. ART - one on **** Germany - who won't ship to USA!
5. ART - bduersch's
6. ART - JC's for sale
7. ART - Rich mentions for sale in Asia *
8. ART - guitarist for Toxic Brainfood
9. ART - Green Audio, Germany

I've done a little research. *NONE of these are the same. *Uwe is the seller for the one on **** (German) and he does not play in Toxic Brainfood or work at Green Audio.

Kevin, I'm putting these number together to show people that they are indeed much rarer than what everyone else thinks. *NO WAY am I just going to throw some numbers up here without looking into them first. *I want everyone to see that your numbers are the most accurate when this is all over and done.

[b]EDIT - we all know a few dozen or so were made, give or take a dozen . Not hundreds and likely not the "12" proclaimed by employees who don't really care how many were made. No more debate in this thread - glen

Please, no debating production #'s here.

But since it's been brought up, how exactly UNrare do you think we think they are? I never said or implied there are thousands, or even hundreds, just that they are not as rare as the *company line* says they are.

While you're doing all this work get Kev the serial #'s please.

Unless Calico Jacks and Backstreet Blues are music stores that sold Art's BRAND NEW, and were sighted there still BRAND NEW, then obviously you're missing the point. As usual. Have fun guys, it's not worth the gray hairs arguing this anymore. Have fun for the next several years, when you get the serial # of the 13th drop me a line.

*sigh* *I had to purge this thread for a SECOND TIME

DO NOT POST HERE UNLESS YOU KNOW OF AN ART.

DON'T DEBATE PRODUCTION TOTALS.

DON'T DEBATE HOW TO ADD/TALLY THESE GUITARS!

if you want to do that... TAKE IT TO EMAIL/IM
(and leave me out of it )

EDIT - we all know a few dozen or so were made....
We do? *
And who's "we"?
----------------------------------
There's a VIN number on a vehicle for a reason. *There's a serial number on a guitar for many of the same reasons.

There is nothing to debate. *Doing it any other way than getting serial numbers will get you a botched registry. *That's not debatable; it's fact.

Here's a decent registry:
http://www.abouttimedesigns.com/DNAREG.htm
It's been working fine for them. *There's no reason it can't work in this case.

I'll try and check the serial# next week or so...
