RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars

I think we can all conclude that the only reason Ibanez won't just release the production totals is because they enjoy this thread just as much as I do. *

I just got an email from a gentleman named Arkady. *He's quite the proud RG-ART owner....from RUSSIA!!!! (cool, huh?)

Serial and Control numbers have been requested.
His English isn't all that great, so I'll probably post the numbers for him.

Arkady's RG-ART: F9700600 and 97074

From what could decipher out of his email (his English is pretty good), he took his ART to an Enrique Inglasias show (Moscow, 9.01)...and let Greg Howe jam on it. *:-) *

Quote from Arkady: "I have asked it him as it him my guitar, he has told very fast and has told that has liked. If I shall learn to use the computer I shall send a photo GREG AND ART-1".*
Nice!

Uh oh, new batch Very early, could be a sample, possibly a single guitar or just a few made. Would love to see pics of the heel and pocket.

I don't mean to stir the pot, but wasn't the original debat about how many were released to the states?
I count 9 in the USA, maybe 10 as I don't know a few of the names on the list. This would support Kevin's "12".

It's good to see that that number did not apply to "Total" production.

Maybe now we should start shooting for finding 24 ART's? *Almost seems like that might be a realistic number now

24 might be a realistic number as far as us finding, but there is no way that 24 is the total production. If a group of people that visit a message board can locate serial numbers for 16 examples in just a few months for a guitar that's hasn't been in producation for quite a while, I'm willing to bet there are several times that number in the hands of people who have never heard of jemsite.

I can speak for myself and Rich here, in that there is no "goal" or target number to be sought after. Just a quest for information and a count closer to what was actually made and sold.

nothing more, nothing less.

I also think if you look at the DNA gallery at ATD to see the PERCENT DNAs REGISTERED, you will see a realistic proportion of the axes we would expect to "register" versus the unfound axes out there in reality. If anything, it is logical to presume that a higher % of DNAs would be registered, given it's release well after jemsite and ATD's site was established online... glen
