RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars - post here

Post here if you have an RG-ART.
Post here if you know someone who has an RG-ART
Post here if you know of an RG-ART in a store.

HOW TO PROPERLY POST IN THIS THREAD
* no discussion welcome in this thread
* no debate about these guitars
* Copy and paste the template below:

- - - s t a r t - - -
RG-ART Found!
* Serial Number(s) (if known):
* Location :
* Guitar Store Name (if applicable):
* Original Owner (if known):
* Current Owner (if known):
* Photo (optional):
- - - e n d - - -

There is some disagreement over how these should be registered. Serial numbers are great but also unrealistic since only a fraction of "sold" items are ever "registered". Hoshino/Chesbro USA could CARE LESS about the totals imported/sold as of this edit, and have NOT provided sales figures.

RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars

there's one here I'm not sure if that's the format we're supposed to post them in, cos it's a link to a store/reseller...? So do the editting thing on it when you see it.

It's at JC's guitars.

I've got an ART that is dead mint, and there's another that I know of in the Denver area that's in player condition. *The guy's even loaded it with EMG's (oh the humanity!)

I've seen 2 here in Singapore, maybe more, maybe 3 including the one Spiral saw, but then again it could be the same guitar...

I know there's one in Hong Kong as well.

And I've seen 2 in the same store which I got my jem90ham from in Tokyo.

Chris.

There's also the one that's currently on EBay Germany, as posted elsewhere on this site.

But of course I have the CURRENT total, if you include Kev's, the one still new for sale at Green Audio in Germany (just got pics this morning, not a good flame), and one I know still in an Asian warehouse.... 12. Hey we're done, we've found them all!!! :sarcasm: And it only took 1 day!

RG-ART Guitar Registry - tracking these guitars

As previously discussed by email, the best way to track these are the ones that were seen NEW for sale in stores worldwide. So far this only excludes 2 which is the one with the EMG's and the one currently at JC's.So, anybody from Southeast Asis, Australia, NZ, Canada, England, France, Netherlands region, South America, spot one new for sale at anytime since 97'? Drum City also had at least 1 new, could be the one now fitted with EMG's. Getting serial #'s of a guitar seen in Japan in a store 2 years ago is NOT feasible.

lets not overcomplicate things

listing these is better than NOT listing these. Keep the list coming... glen

Hmm...I spoke with Jason at Drum City a couple of weeks ago when I took my ART for him to see. *He said it was the first one he'd actually seen, and that he'd tried to get one from Ibanez, but was never able to. *

It doesn't matter if the S/N is on one in a store or one in a house.
A serial number counts as ONE guitar.
A serial number will allow for tracking of the guitar.

If you see one in the store, ask for the S/N. *Post it here.
If your friend has one, but isn't online, ask for the S/N. *Post it here.
Thanks.

Kevan has a good point, and to get a true # getting the serial # is a bottom line aproach, just not feasible. Sightings of them for sale when still NEW though is. If the history of the used ones are known (ie, The Guitar Galley one) then that works also. Not trying to overcomplicate, but am trying to get as accurate a count as possible. Of course there were more NEW in the US than 3 originally.

Chris, noted, none for Drum City.

Kev, one spoted in Ikebe 2 years ago is not realistic to get a serial # for!! Your research should be complete, but for purposes of a quick count (since this forum thread isn't going to be around for 6 years till the serial #'s can be tracked down...) ORIGINATION of purchase, = 1 guitar (or 2 if seen) per store! Same result, differnt formula.
