RG GOLD 2!! How many were made?

I'm supposed to be buying an Ibanez J Custom RG Gold 2 next week. The sellers ad says that there were only 6 of these made. Can anyone tell me if this is the case? The seller and I have been in contact and he's a genuine guy for sure but the only reason I'd be buying this guitar is because it's supposedly pretty rare.

Sorry I don't have the serial number yet. The guitar is being posted to me on Tuesday. I have no qualms about the validity of the actual guitar, it's the real thing for sure.

Well I saw one last week in Bangkok, so one is in Thailand.. thats for sure....

Nobody knows exactly how many of the different J-Costoms were made, maybe only some guys at Ibanez. If you have the serial its easier to make a guess.

yes...i have heard that those first models are made only 6 or 12 pieces.....or a few more.....you havent seen them much for sale

Well after a bit of trawling through the internet I came across this guitar (see link). I emailed the link to the seller and it turns out that this is the actual guitar I'm getting. The guy here sold it to a guy from London and it was then bought by the chap I'm getting it off. It does seem to be a pretty rare beast for sure.
