RG-Metal, how much.... - Might have a line on one....

It turns out an aquaintence of mine owns one of these. How much is a going price for one in 9.5 condition?

Thanks
Dave

PS - No I won't tell who it is, where it is, or any other pertenant information. LOL

I don't know what the going price is for one, but since it's so similar to the Jem90, I wouldn't pay much more for an RG-Metal than a Jem90. I think the going rate for 90's is 1500-1600. It may be cheaper to buy the Jem90 and replace the pickups with the Air Norton/Blue Velvet/Tone Zone combination that's in the RG-Metal--you'd have basically the same guitar, slightly different color, but with the monkey grip/lion's claw.

The *one* J-Custom I don't have an MSRP for is the RG-METAL. *I'll do some poking around and see what I can find. *They were never brought to the US, so...I might have to speak a foreign language to get you a number.

Also, the finish on the METAL is considerably different than that on the JEM90. *The feel, the color, p/u's...many differences. *The color of the paint is completely different too.

Ironically, they both should have J-Custom cases.

No silly!! They've got guitars in them!!! But we all know how Jed loves to sell guitars without cases so why not a case without the guitar?!?! (then you just have to convince the other guy to do the same!)

I'd rather talk to Rosie O'Donnell about her eating habits than talk to Jed again about prices on cases. *Ugh...painful....
