RG-PAINT discovered in Belgium! - It's not mine but it's for

Hi there,

I have discovered one of 18 super-rare J-Custom RG-PAINT guitars; located in Belgium. Check out the pictures:

I don't want to turn this post into an advertisement but it's very affordable and I can give contact information. Okay moderators?

Hmm that won't do the price any good (for the seller that is)
Looks like quite a pro scallop job though.

Stunning paintwork.

There's another RG-PAINT for sale in a store here in Portugal. It's the RG-PAINT 2, the one with blue, yellow and pink. Also, it's not that expensive and comes with the J-Custom case. It's been for sale for almost 1 year...

It seems that the RG-PAINT is not that rare. Over a year, i saw 3 (!) RG-PAINTS for sale here in Portugal: the 1,2 and 3! And Portugal is a LITTLE country...

Also, the tone and volume knobs, i think, are not original. The ones i've seen in the PAINT2 are metal, not like the ones in these pics that seem from a Les Paul or something...

Mmm... they had one of those in my local; a PAINT 2 going by what's been said here (blue, yellow and pink) and that was going for £1299 (=$RIPOFF).

Ripl3y, I think it must be a base coast (pink in this case) and then airbrushing of the different colours on top and a shedload of clear afterwards.

Either way it's a nice guitar that I wouldn't mind getting my grubby mitts onto.

I seem to remember Kevan telling me there is a guy in Japan who did it. *I don't know the exact techniques, but supposidly the paint is so toxic that no one but this one guy will do it.

Oliver- thanks for the pics! *If you could email me contact info, I'd appreciate it. *Those speed knobs HAVE to go. *Too bad about the bubinga stripe.

Did you guys happen to notice the signature & series number on the back of the guitar?

Jay- the one you're thinking of is the S540-JAPAN. *Sweet 'paint job' on that one.

heh jay

Actually I reckon you could achieve it with fabric (if it's loud enough that is, sorta like a ti-dye (sp?) guitar......now that gives me an idea....

Yep, i saw that serial number. The PAINT 2 that is for sale in here also has that in the same location, don't remeber the number, though. Ahhh, the feeling of having an unique and rare guitar...
