RG1077XL Spotted

I was bored yesterday and stopped by a GC close to my house. To my suprise, I came across an RG1077XL used for $999. Its condition is probably 8.5/10; couple chips on the sides and scratches on the back. Otherwise, it was missing a locking screw for the middle nut and the whammy bar wasn't on the guitar.
After playing it for 15 minutes through a Flextone II, I was more comfortable playing the 1077 despite I have a UV777GR; Even though I have small hands, it might be due to the Wizard profile. The bridge pickup sounds great and it might not need an upgrade after all. The neck pickup can stand on its own although I think it might need an upgrade. Overall, that extra inch and a half on the neck did not make a major difference in feel but makes a lot of difference in sound; just hearing the low B growl is amazing.
Anyhow, I've managed to haggle GC to sell it to me for $800 + tax for the guitar, a new case, whammy bar and they'll provide the missing locking screw as well. I was about ready to purchase the guitar but apparantely, GC won't sell it to me until the middle of March due to 'protocol'. Now, the main reason why I'm posting this topic is cause I want to make sure that i'm getting a good bargain.
