RG1570 Candy Apple or Suede Red?

On the global Japanese website the 1570 comes in suede red (SER), which is the one I want, but the US website has a Candy Apple (CA) instead, which I'm not keen on.

I live in Canada, and afaik, we have the same finishes as European countries.

So is it just the U.S. that has the CA instead of the SER? Any Canadians see any SER 1570s?

SER is matte finish, no clearcoat. It will absorb fingerprints, polish on all contact points, show every scuff, etc.

CA - Gloss clear, none of the above.

As long as you're informed you can prefer either. I just don't get the attraction to matte finishes.

Hey Rich, is the candy apple red finish of the 1570 the same look as the JS candy apple red? If so, that seems like an awesome color for such an inexpensive guitar.

CA is the same no matter what model they spray it on.

Yeah, go for the CA....much classier and has a clear coat. Seeing those greasy finger marks over your guitar sucks big time

Well, I am convinced the the matte finish may not be right for me, unfortunately I only see the CA on the USA website which means I may have a hard time getting it in Canada. The Mirage Blue is nice, but I already have an RGA121 with a very similar finish.
