rg1570 over rg2570

hey guyz
i was getting rg2570 then turned to rg1570
pickups can be easily changed to something i like with the price difference
and i trust edge pro more than zero bridge
wat do u think guyz?
and yea ,,, is it 5pc neck or 3pc neck on the rg1570 ?

if u played both , hope u tell me the differences ...not the sound,,the playability and stayin in tune thing

thnx

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

I've owned both, and yes, playability is the same assuming they're setup the same. I found the stock pickups on the RG2570 more usable though. Can't comment on the Edge Zero bridge because I have an Edge Pro. As well, if you plan to replace RG1570's stock pickups with Evos, you can't without routing - read more here.

RG 1570 :
V series pups
Edge pro

RG 2570
Dimarzio made pups
Edge pro ( older model)
Edge zero ( recent)
fingerboard binding
Ghost Shartooth inlay

others are the same.

the choice is yours.

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

well,,i don`t like the Ghost Shartooth inlay but i love fingerboard binding and that won`t make me pay 200$ more...so i think i`m goin 2 buy the rg1570 and change the v pups maybe to (D-sonic , norton air ...) actually i didn`t make up my mind yet.
"axemanrio" , would i face that prob with other pups but evo?
thnx guyz for ur opinions

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

I haven't heard of the 1570 having trouble with other pickups, definitely not with the D-Sonic and Air Norton.

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

Both are essentially the same guitar with similar levels of playability. If one plays better in any way it's only because of a better setup job. I'd get the RG1570 just to save some cash and put the difference towards better pickups.

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

Back in 06 I was tossing up between the two, played both and went for the 1570 because they felt the same playwise, but the 1570 was still cheaper with a pickup upgrade. No regrets here.

Rock on!

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

that sounds great
i went 2 the musicshop today and the seller there was telling me 2 get the rg2570z and started talkin bout the edge zero,i didn`t like it that much, and specially bcz it`s chinese made,so i found EP worth it more.and then i found that they don`t carry rg1570.
i`m gonna try another musicshop "i live outside US" and i hope that i`ll be getting it next week
thnx guyz

Re: rg1570 over rg2570

I had EVO pups installed in the neck and bridge on my rg1570 a few weeks back..

RG1570 routing to accommodate EVO pups obviously does not apply in all case. These fit in with no routing necessary

Best of luck.
